Never going to get rich.....

I just looked at my AdSense income. I am not on the road to a Rolls Royce, I need more visitors, more adds and better content.

On holidays.....

I am on a break, I have not gone anywhere special just taking it easy for two weeks. I am now in week 2 and I have to say that I feel great. The plan had been to book a holiday somewhere for a week, but this is working out better and less stress.

I was listening to Gerry Ryan this morning, I caught a piece where a caller or texter had said that in Portugal, Irish women had been described using the three Fs. The three Fs stand for Fake tan, Foul mouthed and Fat. I can see the listener's point, all around and everyday. Pity though.

Phew

It has been a rollercoaster week.

I thought I was sorted to take one job and a big part of me was not going to take it. I was going to take because I need a job. It would have been a nice place to work but it would have been a big culture change. It was to be all finalised and signed off on Friday. Then....out of the blue.....I got a call from another place which has more practical advantages but slightly lower money and a "lower" job (I suppose that is how I could describe it). Anyway, the seemed more pragmatic and straightforward. So after a few small hitches I signed with them!

Coolio, so I will be working from the start of July, but I need to finish the write up today. I have naturally gone on a shopping spree. Oh no.... No point in working if you can't spend it in advance?

The bottom line is that it is a big load off my mind.

New gym routine.

I have been back to the gym recently. I got a new assesment and have been given three different plans, the idea is to do them in turn during the week. I have started going at 6:00am and plan to do Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Cool. I need to get fitter and lose some weight.

Boring I know. Still no job.

Writing up

I have to get finished writing up. I am not the fastest or best writer in the world. I need to get through all my notes, get them typed in and then re-write the lot.

Doh.

I went to the library today and it was closed. Man did I feel like a tit. Luckily I found somewhere to work for a few hours and got about 10 pages of notes down. Why? I need to finish my thesis asap and get it handed in.

Need to look for a job! Why? My funding has run out and I am need to pay rent and eat. Nasty!

New Ian Rankin book.

I have just read on www.ianrankin.net that a new book called Naming of the Dead should be released this October.

I am a huge Rebus fan and have read all the novels to date. I looked up some of the locations on a previous trip to Edinburgh. If you like crime drama, you will love the Rebus novels.

I also like Judge John Deed and New Street Law.....now if only they would bring back Anton Meyer into Holby city......would be very interesting.

Slow day.

I am rebuilding a PC and it is taking me all day.

Installing the operating system (XP) was not so bad, the biggest chore is getting all the old applications back onto it.

I should really store my backups (of software installation files) better.

Tidying up.

I am trying to clear out my study room. It is full with documents that I am ***nearly*** finished with. I am not getting very far.

Off to the library again to continue writing up.

A long while....but, welcome back.

The fact that I said 6 months ago that I was going to be away for a few days is not lost on me.
